The pollution sources of petroleum in the marine environment include natural and man-made ones, and man-made source is the major one which impact marine ecology and fishery. Crude and refined oil have different compositor, chemical instructor and molecular mass. So their toxicity to the marine creature is different. The endurance of marine organism to the petroleum pollution is also different. Benthic organism can endure much more high concentration of petroleum. Some plants can restore the level of pro-pollution in a short time. The fish and zooplanktons are sensitive to the oil pollution. But some abnormal phenomena were found in some fishing grounds that puzzled us.

Energy shortages has caused widespread concern in all countries.The scientists turn to biofuels.However, due to large-scale use of corn, soybeans and other agricultural products for production of biofuels such as ethanol, and the situation that biofuels compete food with human and compet earth with crops is serious.This paper reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of methods for screening, purification, large-scale cultivation and harvesting.Biofuel extraction art as well as the industrial development trend were analyzed.

The paper analyzed the major characteristics of world shrimp production and trade for recently 20 years using the latest statistical data.The results showed that along with the rapid development of shrimp farming, there has occurred a big change for the shrimp production shifted from fishing to farming, and the world shrimp trade volume has presented a steady growth trend.A typical feature for the shrimp trade was shifting from developed countries to developing nations.No less than 9.87 billion U.S.dollars was reached for net exports of shrimp from developing to developed nations in 2006.The export commodity was mainly frozen shrimp, but steady increase was seen in the proportion of shrimp prepared or preserved.Shrimp imports mainly concentrated in three major markets: the EU, the United States and Japan, and shrimp exports mainly in Southeast Asia and American countries.However, there was a significant difference for competitive advantage among the exporting countries, the competitiveness of Chinese shrimp exports was significantly weaker than other major export countries in Southeast Asia.

A series of culture experiments of the subtidal brown alga Sargassum horneri was performed during 2005~2007, including development of receptacles, discharge of eggs, impact of environmental factors on the development of the zygotes. Artificial seedlings derived from zygotes were obtained from selected individuals sampled from wild populations at Nanji Island, Zhejiang Province, China. Different substrates were tested for settlement of zygotes. Field in situ observation of the growth and reproduction of selected individuals was performed. Based on these results, we concluded that field population of this alga sustains itself principally through sexual reproduction. These results lay the basis of artificial seedling reproduction of this alga.

In this paper, researches on artificial reef design were previewed in terms of hydrodynamics, biology and materials science. The interaction of hydrodynamics and design of artificial reef was discussed as well. Researches on materials science, hydrodynamics force, biological factors and reef deployment were summarized, in order to provide an excellent artificial reef model for construction of artificial reefs (ARs) in South China Sea area.

As an important topic of marine environment research, seawater exchange research is helpful to assessment of marine environmental quality and the research of marine ecological changing mechanism of artificial reefs area. In this paper, the advances in the research on seawater exchange ability were summarized. The water exchange models and methods were analyzed and compared, and the research hot spot and tendency of water exchange in the field of embayment and artificial reefs in the future were discussed.
