South China Fisheries Science (SCFS) formerly known as South China Fisheries is a comprehensive aquatic science and technology journal sponsored by the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, and publicly released both domestically and internationally. The main reports include papers, research briefs, reviews, etc. on fishery resources, fishing techniques, fishery facilities, fishery environmental protection, aquaculture and proliferation, fishery biological diseases, aquatic product processing and comprehensive utilization, as well as basic research on aquaculture.

Based in the southern waters of China, SCFS receives articles on aquaculture from across the country. It highlights its academic, regional, practical, and readable aspects, focusing on reporting new technologies, achievements, as well as trends in fisheries research and production at home and abroad.
