Study on the growth performance of skewband grunt Hapalogenys nitens in sea gulf net cage

The growth performance of skewband grunt Hapalogenys nitens was studied on the base of 515 specimens from 1＋years old to 5＋years old colleted from netcages located in Zhelinwan Gulf in Raoping County, Guangdong Province. Biostatistics analysis showed that the relationship between body length and scale radius may be expressed as L=175.17r+227.22，relationship between body length and body weight as W=0.0001L2.8677，and relationship between body length and total length as Lt= 1.1736 Lb+3.6206. The von Bertallanffy growth curve parameters derived from the mentioned data are L＝452.418mm, W=4315.455g, k=0.2799，t0=－1.1869 years, turning point of growth in body weight t0= 2.738 years.
