Abstract
In order to investigate the correlation of growth parameters of scallop (Chlamys nobilis), we measured the morphological traits shell height (SH), shell length (SL), hinge length (HL), shell thickness (ST) and weight traits total weight (TW), wet weight of adductor muscle (WWAM), flesh weight (FW), dry flesh weight (DFW), dry weight of adductor muscle (DWAM) of 526 scallops. Based on multiple regression and path analysis, the effects of 5 parameters SH (x1), SL (x2), HL (x3), ST (x4), TW (x5) on FW, WWAM and DWAM were analyzed. Results show that TW is very significantly positively correlated with DFW, WWAM and DWAM (P0.01). Multiple regression and path analysis indicate that among the 5 parameters, TW has significant positive effect on the 3 economic traits while the other parameters have insignificant or even no effect.
