Abstract: The research of planktonic Ostracoda has attracted much attentions. This paper makes a review on the shape and classification, geographic distribution and diversities of species, and the ecological groups of planktonic Ostracoda since 1980s. Furthermore, the diurnal vertical migration of planktonic Ostracoda and its relations with the marine environment are also discussed.
