Abstract:
he effects of environmental factors on the clearance rate (CR) of the Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) were studied in laboratory. It showed that the clearance rate of the Manila clams was significantly affected by the water temperature, salinity and pH. The changing tendency of CR at age 2 was significantly positively correlated with that of age 3. In the experimental range, the clearance rates increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of the temperature, salinity and pH. The maximum clearance rates appeared at temperature 23℃, salinity 30, pH 8.2, respectively.
