Abstract:
The growth of the artificially cultured young and adult
Oxyeleotris lineolatus in pond had been observed for 29 consecutive months. The result showed that the growth was divided into different phrases and the peak period was two years old. The growth of
O.lineolatus was even and the relationship between length and weight was
W=0.02
L3.0754. According to von Bertalanffy, the equation for the length and weight of the six year old
O.lineolatus were
Lt=48.43171-e
-0.3099(t+0.4826) and
Wt=3515.53471-e
-0.3099(t+0.4826)3.1312. The inflexion of weight was senile, at the age of 3.2. The pre-larva in purse net, pond and winter reservoir were cultured to young fish with mean total length 15~17.5 cm after the first year and the survival rate was 43.5%~58.3%. The weight was 300~750 g and the survival rate was 92%~98% with the average output of 1~1.8 kg · m
-2 after the second year.
