Abstract:
We measured the body weight and body length of
Litopenaeus vannamei at different developmental stages by three kinds of nonlinear models (Logistic, Gompertz and Von Bertalanffy), and used the power function model to describe the relationship between body weight and body length. The results indicate that the three kinds of nonlinear models could fit the growth curves well. Gompertz model fit the growth curve of body weight best, and the fitting degree, inflection point of time and inflection point of body weight were 0.855, 169 d and 16.81 g, respectively. Logistic model fit the growth curve of body length best, and the fitting degree, inflection point of time and inflection point of body length were 0.917, 95 d and 74.44 mm, respectively. Power function model could fit the relationship between body weight and body length well, and the fitting degree was 0.992. We also calculated the absolute growth rate of body weight and body length, as well as analyzed growth and development rules of
L. vannamei. The results provide references for selected breeding of
L. vannamei.
