Abstract:
We used high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to a fluorescence detector (FLD) to determine 15 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in aquatic products, and realized complete base-line separation of the 15 PAHs and high sensitive fluorescence determination based on optimization of liquid chromatographic conditions, excitation and emission wavelength. Under optimizing conditions, the detection limit of naphthalene, acenaphthene and fluorene is 0.5 gkg-1; that of benzo (b) fluoranthene, dibenzo (a,h) anthracene and benzo (g,h,i) perylene is 2.0 gkg-1; that of the others is 1.0 gkg-1. PHE, AN, PY, BaA, CHR, BaP and IP are in the range of 0.001~0.500 mgL-1, and the others are in the range of 0.002~1.000 mgL-1, having good linearity (R20.995). The recovery at the spiked amount of 2.0 gkg-1, 10.0 gkg-1 and 100.0 gkg-1 is 71.1%~98.4% (RSD10%). The reproducible, sensitive and accurate method is suitable for quality control of the 15 PAHs in aquatic products.
