Abstract: The paper reviews the research progress on fish swimming ability, classification of fish swimming speed and the methods for measuring fish swimming ability. Besides, the advantages and disadvantages of different methods are analyzed, which provides references for improving the evaluation indices and measurements for fish swimming ability.
