Abstract:
The effect of physicochemical factors on phenoloxidase activity of hemocyanin from Haliotis diversicolor was studied with catechol as substrate. The results showed that the optimum temperature for enzyme activity was 34 ℃ and the optimum pH was 6.4, respectively. Cu2+ could significantly activate enzyme activity and the enhancement rate was 264%. However, EDTA, Mg2+ and Zn2+ could significantly inhibit enzyme activity. The inhibition rate was 52.8%, 27.8% and 25%, respectively, and EDTA had the highest rate. Ca2+ had no significant effect on enzyme activity.
