Abstract:
Pond aquaculture is the main traditional method of aquaculture, which still dominates in China. Harvesting is one of the most labor-intensive production processes in pond aquaculture. To address the current problems in mechanized harvesting technology for pond aquaculture, such as poor equipment adaptability, high labor intensity, high loss rate, and low mechanization level, we developed a remote-controlled pond trawling equipment based on double-helix drive. This device provides real-time monitoring images through dual cameras, and operators can real-time adjust two sets of double-helix drive walking devices with a remote controller, thereby towing the trawling system to complete the trawling operation, aiming to reduce labor intensity and improve the level of mechanization and intelligence. Experimental results show that this equipment requires only 1–2 people to complete the trawling operation, which can meet the requirements of small ponds. For a 0.66-hectare pond, it can save 8 laborers compared with traditional manual methods. This equipment effectively solves the problems of irregular ponds, significant differences in pond ridges, and complex terrain, especially suitable for fishing needs on unhardened ridge surfaces or muddy water surfaces. It provides key equipment support for mechanized pond aquaculture.
