Abstract:
To explore the carrying capacity of fishery resources in the coastal waters of Dapeng Peninsula, Shenzhen, considering the actual situation of that sea area, we established an evaluation index system by referring to the Resource and Environmental Carrying Capacity Monitoring and Early Warning Technology Method (Trial) and the evaluation methods of fishery resources carrying capacity at home and abroad. Based on the survey data of fishery resources in that waters every autumn in 2012 to 2016, we applied two methods comparing the data between 2016 and the previous three years (2013 to 2015) and comparing the data between 2016 and the previous four years (2012 to 2015) to evaluate the carrying capacity. The results of both methods show that the swimming animal index had a downward trend. The fish spawn and larvae index decreased significantly. The fishery resources carrying capacity was almost overloaded. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen the monitoring and investigation of fishery resources as well as the evaluation and early warning of fishery resource carrying capacity, so as to provide technical support for promoting the restoration and protection of fishery resources as well as proliferative maintenance.
