Abstract:
Effects of different temperature, sediment and food on hatching and growth of
Hemifusus tuba were studied using single-factor test. The results were as follows: the average number of juvenile individuals attained 15.07 ind·oocyst
-1, significantly more than that of 23℃(13.3 ind·oocyst
-1) and 26℃(12.87 ind·oocyst
-1).The incubation time was 30 d at 29℃, 40 d at 26℃ and 35 d at 23℃.The survival rate reached 66.7% at 23℃ and 36.37% at 29℃.The shell height of juvenile individuals was 6.33±0.34 mm at 26℃, significantly higher than that of 23℃ and 29℃. After cultivation, there was no significant difference between 23℃ (17.59±2.22 mm) and 26℃ (16.66±1.80 mm), so 23℃ was considered to be the suitable incubation temperature. The cultivation condition without sediment was better than that with sediment for newly-hatched juvenile individuals. However, the cultivation condition with sediment was better than that without sediment for young ones; alive living food was better than formula food.
